From time to time I get the itch to make something. It can come in any shape or size, any color or form. Regardless of what the final product is, I am always astounded by what I am capable of creating. So please, take a look at some of my creations.
Snap! Crackle! Pop!Pop!Pop!
I made this awesome wall hanging thing out of an old TV turntable. I took the turntable device off the back, grabbed some paint and silver Sharpies, made some stencils, and went to work. It looks simple, because it is. But, surprisingly, it took quite a long time to create.
If the world were to explode into 1 bazillion pieces
When it comes to art, I have one major flaw — I can’t draw. So, I always find myself resorting to lines. That being said, I wanted to make something with bright colors, something that really popped. I took a Sharpie to some canvas and, with the help of a ruler, laid down some hot lines.
The result is “If the world were to explode into 1 bazillion pieces.” If you can look past the wars, poverty, hunger, AIDS, and all the other problems our world is facing, I believe it is possible to see the world as a beautiful place. So, I felt it was realistic that an explosion of such beauty would be beautiful in its own right.
TockTock Clock
Near the end of winter break I became mentally restless and really wanted to make something. Endless hours of surfing the internet had led me to several sites with very unique and awesome clocks. The clocks were, of course, way too expensive. So, I decided to kill two birds with one stone; settle my mental restlessness and hang a new clock on my wall by designing and making my own clock.
Music video: robots move real fast! – Can’t Take My Dance!
This is not actually something that was created outside of school. It was an assignment for my creative thinking class with Charles Hall. But, I wanted to put it in this section anyway because, well, I think it’s awesome.
The assignment was: Someone has broken into your home and stolen your most prized possession.
1. What was stolen
2. Who stole it
3. How are you going to get it back
My most prized possession is my music collection, which is housed on an external hard drive. Therefore, I thought it appropriate to share my project in a music video format. The song in the video is a song I created for a music technology class in undergrad. So, without further ado, here is the music video for “Can’t Take My Dance!” by robots move real fast, set to the song “Arena ROCK!!! Dance Party.”
Acrylic painting: Boo Cooey
A little while ago I went through a painting stage. With the exception of finger painting, it is safe to say I had no idea what I was doing. I tried to paint some scenes that featured people, but I can barely draw stick figures, so my paintings did not pan out into anything worth hanging up. So, I settled on shapes and straight lines. I can do that, no problem.

I named Boo Cooey!
BTW, it’s actually “Windows BC” by Boo Cooey. Why do I have to remind you of these things?
