Knowing stuff doesn’t make you smart.

Great video titled Information Deformation by Bill Farren that discusses the difference between information and knowledge and wisdom and brings to light the fact that even though we have access to more information than ever, we aren’t necessarily more knowledgable than ever.

Silence just doesn’t happen very much anymore.

silenceTwoI love this image.  It is powerful.  In this world of incessant interruption, it’s almost unimaginable to imagine 15 seconds of silence.

Joey introduced me to Marc Johns today.  Beautiful art that is simple and childish in design, yet deep and playful in meaning.

And I love lightning bolts and ice cream.

Look what I found!

the mouse and the motorcycle

I was snooping around my parent’s basement the other day when I came across some of my old books, one of which was this incredible copy of The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary.  As I pulled it off the shelf, I was immediately struck by the front cover.  The wood grain background and the way the mouse’s tail curves between “The Mouse” are great touches that really give the cover some personality.

I remember this book being one of my favorites as a kid.  I fully intend on cracking it open in the next few days for another read.
